This one week tour is designed to acquaint you with Bulgaria’s most signficant historical places and visits to some popular wine regions and wineries.
Combine the cultural experience with tasting some of the finest Bulgarian wines.The tour operates from Bourgas, and can be enjoyed as either a tour only or coupled with an extra week on the Black Sea coast.Day 1, Mon: Welcome to BulgariaArrival at Bourgas airport.
Transfer to Bourgas town for dinner and overnight.Day 2, Tue: Nessebar – VarnaAfter breakfast depart for Nessebar for a guided tour in the old picturesque town, which is listed on UNESCO.
Continue on to Varna for a short sightseeing trip, visit the "House of Wine" which boasts a selection of the best Bulgarian wines including "Melnik" and "Gamza" brands.
Dinner and overnight in Varna.Day 3, Wed:  Varna – Shumen – Lyaskovets – Veliko TarnovoDepart for the Madara horseman - a UNESCO site close to the town of Shoumen.
Visit to Lyaskovets - one of the biggest Bulgarian wineries.
After wine tasting, continue on to Veliko Tarnovo - former Bulgarian capital.
Enjoy a visit to the famous "Tsarevets" fortress.
Overnight and dinner in the Wine Palace hotel in the nearby village of Arbanassi.Day 4, Thu: Veliko Tarnovo – Kazanlak – PlovdivTravel to the Kazanlak region - the valley of the Thracian kings.
Visit the "Kazanlak tomb" - listed in the UNESCO and taste some of the Rose products.
Bulgaria is known as the country of roses and some products include: Rose liquor, brandy and jam.
In the afternoon, enjoy a wine-tasting visit at the "Royal Cellar" in the small town of Banya.
Overnight and dinner in Plovdiv.Day 5, Fri: Plovdiv – Bachkovo – PlovdivA morning sightseeing trip in the town of Plovdiv including the Old town and Amphitheatre.
Visit the Bachkovo Monastery - the second most famous monastery in Bulgaria.
In the evening, wine tasting and gourmet dinner held in the nearby village of Brestovitsa.
Overnight in Plovdiv.Day 6, Sat:  Plovdiv – Perperikon – Haskovo On the way to Perperikon visit the temple of the Greek God of Wine - Dionysos.
In the afternoon a visit to "Haskovo" winery where southern Bulgarian wines are produced.
Dinner and overnight in Haskovo.Day 7, Sun: Stara Zagora – Slavyantsi – BourgasVisit the wine region between Sliven and Karnobat, where the "Slavyantsi" winery is based.
Enjoy tasting the local wine brands from this region before heading to Bourgas.
